Who can join Uaminifu SACCO?+
Membership is open countrywide to KWH, KWFT and subsidiaries' staff. New members start with a valid ID, a completed membership form, and a minimum contribution of KES 1,500.
How much can I borrow?+
Loan limits are generally up to 3× your accumulated normal savings, secured through the guarantor system rather than collateral. Use the loan calculator on the homepage for an estimate.
How long does loan approval take?+
Standard loans are typically appraised within 5 working days. Emergency and 24hr loan products are processed faster, often within 24 hours of a complete application.
Can I access my savings while I have an active loan?+
A portion of your savings used to secure a loan may be restricted until the loan is repaid. Speak to your branch office for details specific to your account.
How does the diaspora housing window work?+
Members living abroad can register interest in housing projects remotely, with a dedicated payment plan and point of contact. See the Housing section for details.
Where can I get a statement of my account?+
Statements are available over the counter at any branch, or through the Member Centre once online services are enabled for your account.
